Detecting cheats

Hello (...again)

Without wishing to indulge in any illegal activities, I'm interested in learning all about sleight-of-hand type card tricks. The reason for this is so that I can know what to look out for when I feel I'm being cheated.
If anybody could recommend some good books/sites, or even make comments I would be most greatful.
